Job Role Responsibilities

Responsible for development and maintenance of process control system programming and graphics interfaces for pilot plant and lab units, micro units, polymer extruder systems and blow molding equipment. The equipment includes aeroderivative lm2500 gas turbines

and or compressors

  • Develop and support process control system programming and graphics interfaces for pilot plant and lab units, micro units, polymer extruder systems and blow molding equipment.

  • Develop and implement operational improvements for process control system programming and graphics interfaces for pilot plant and lab units, micro units, polymer extruder systems and blow molding equipment.

  • Implement required process control programming changes on units in a research environment as needed.

  • Lead I&E support for startup of new process control projects installations.

  • Coordinate with various project and maintenance groups to install / maintain projects.

  • Coordinate design, development and implementation of process control systems with technology business groups.

  • Provide troubleshooting support with I&E resources for all process control system issues.

  • Understand and follow site process control standards and contribute improvements to these standards.

  • Design electrical one line drawings.

  • Write clean and logical code that is documented, easy to understand and maintain.

  • Serve as point of contact for all process control projects assigned.

  • Develop knowledge of systems being designed to better provide future process control system solutions.

  • Provide support for site safety, health, environmental, operational integrity systems and business control activities as required.

  • Show willingness to provide safe working environment for yourself and those employees working with you during process control program implementations.Job Requirements

  • Previous Allen Bradley PLC and/or National Instruments Labview programming experience (5+ years preferred).

  • Previous control system graphics experience (i.e.WonderWare, Intellusion, Panelview, RSView, Labview, Experion, etc.) (3+ years preferred).

  • Electrical background experience to read and develop I&E drawings.

  • Mechanical experience to do take-offs from P&ID drawings.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access.

  • Some Microsoft SQL programming and query experience.

  • Some Visual Basic (.net) or similar structured text programming experience.

  • Familiarity with cost estimation, project planning, capital projects, technology development.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.

  • Ability to provide leadership for process control projects.

  • Self-motivation to perform programming and control system support duties.

  • Ability to effectively coordinate activities and promote strong working relationships with Business Units, Suppliers, and Procurement.
