American Express Sales Coordinator, Western Region in Bismarck, North Dakota
This position is responsible for supporting a Regional Large Market and Online Account Development team, consisting of 1 Directors and 7 Client Managers on the Large Market team, and 2 Client Managers on the Regional Online team. The Account Development team is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of approximately 220 accounts located in the Western US. The primary objective of the position is providing sales support and execution, as well as managing a variety of operational / servicing initiatives impacting the entire account portfolio.
Strong relationship skills; must be able to work well with internal and external partners to achieve shared objectives.
Clear and articulate communicator (verbal and written) with the ability to influence and negotiate successfully with both internal and external partners
Strong quantitative skills that enable the analysis of large amounts of data and generate proactive, actionable recommendations
Strong proficiency in MS Office; PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Ability to be flexible and respond to changing circumstances
Superb organizational skills with the ability to maintain the region’s calendar and activities
Ability to drive results within a matrixed environment
Solid results driver must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Sales/account management experience a plus
Marketing program development/execution experience is a plus.
General business knowledge and an awareness of how external factors (political, legal, economic and social) will affect client and American Express businesses
Experience working in a virtual environment
BA/BS (Preferred) with 3 years of professional work experience.
This position requires the candidate be located in the Western US Region.
