The Uptower Repair Parts Coordinator - Renewable Energy is responsible for daily communication with the resource coordinator, field teams and execution owners to understand part needs and start dates. Verification of parts lists, tracking of orders, communication with the resource manager on estimated shipments and forecasting.
As the Uptower Repair Parts Coordinator - Renewable Energy, you will:
Be responsible for verification and accuracy of parts lists for won jobs
Provide continual and timely schedule updates as inputs change
Work with the Uptower Repair Resource Coordinator to ensure accurate parts delivery dates and to coordinate with crew arrivals, as to not cause any delays
Stay in constant communication with job leads and all other functions (i.e. cranes, tooling, and parts) to avoid any delays
Provide coverage for the Uptower Repair Coordinator when needed
Support management as needed for Oracle system debriefing issues, approvals and gaps (i.e. RACES)
Update all group assigned workflows and communicate to Service Manager any possible conflicts with the schedule
Understand all customer special requirements
Communicate with those responsible for accurate and complete fulfillment including tracking of all sales orders and internal requisitions
Track metrics for parts fulfillment and hold the parts team accountable for late fulfillment
Work with Sourcing, Parts, and Product Line teams to create forecast for parts based on business needs and past usage
Complete workflow for new parts creation and help identify part kits
Make recommendations and share best practices to continually improve the accuracy of future jobs schedules, specifically to minimize the As Sold to As Executed variance
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma / GED
Ability and willingness to work across multiple business functions
Ability and willingness to climb wind turbine generators and work at height, as needed
Ability and willingness to provide weekend and holiday support, as needed
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10-30%
Ability and willingness to maintain valid passport
Ability and willingness to maintain a valid driver’s license
Knowledgeable in Uptower Repair or Major Component Exchange (MCE) execution
Strong oral and written communication skills
Computer proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint or other standard business-required programs
Strong MS Excel proficiency
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Communication and problem solving skills
Six Sigma or other Quality training and certification (GE Employees Only)
Familiarity with GE Energy Wind operating functions (GE Employees Only)
Self-motivated and self-starter
Strong understanding of Wind services, construction and repair
Ability to motivate support groups and convey urgency in customer needs and concerns
