Job Description

Alutiiq, LLC is seeking a qualified technician who is trained in VICADS video and Vindicator alarm systems. Technician must be able to respond to trouble calls for the aforementioned systems under strict time guidelines. For catastrophic or major failures, the technician must be on-site within 5 hours and shall make the system operational within 24 hours of the initial call. For partial failures, the technician must be on-site within 24 hours and shall make the system operational within 48 hours of the initial call. Periodic system troubleshooting and repair will be required. This support may require night or weekend response to meet the timelines.

Required Skills

  • Receive and ship Return Material Authorization and replacement materials using a provided shipping account.

  • Maintain personal hand tools necessary to perform repairs.

  • Coordinate with off-site support for problem resolution.

  • Perform routine maintenance such as restarting computers, verifying server status (ie. No bad drives, no alarms), cleaning cameras as necessary, etc.

  • Maintain accountability of spare parts.

  • Technician should have Vindicator access control and intrusion detection experience or be willing to be trained

  • Technician should have VICADS video experience or be willing to be trained

  • Technician will be required to sign a one year employment guarantee in exchange for the Vindicator and VICADS training

  • Technician should have experience with the following Microsoft programs: Windows 7, Server 2012, SQL-2012

  • Experience with alarm, access control, and IP video systems is desired

  • Technician should have experience with network switches.
