  11. Utilizes good telephone skills. 11. Attentively prepares prescriptions according to physician orders.12. Carefully screens each drug order for appropriateness of drug, proper dosage, route of administration, dosage interval and drug interactions in order to protect the patient.13. Accurately and correctly enters medication orders into Pharmacy computer system providing all the necessary information needed for the nurse to administer the medication safely.14. Provides oversight and supervision of Pharmacy Technicians. Checks technician's work for accuracy and appropriateness. Provides positive and corrective feedback to technician

  12. Works with patients of all ages. Adapts medication therapy to specific age groups.

  13. Prepares sterile IV admixtures using aseptic technique. Completes certification annually.17. Upon request, accurately and willingly provides drug therapy information to hospital medical and nursing staff to enhance the decision making process in the prescribed care of the patient18. Assist Clinical Pharmacist in performing routine QA monitoring of patient’s medication therapy.

  14. Assists in maintaining appropriate inventory levels using the Pharmacy Management System. Creates purchase order and transmits order to wholesale.

  15. Assists director in other related duties as required and assigned.


  1. Job Requirements/Qualifications

  2. Graduate of accredited College of Pharmacy

  3. Licensed in the State of North Dakota.

  4. Experienced with word processing/Excel software.

  5. Organizational ability, Able to work well and communicate with others, Ability to delegate and direct, Maintain confidentiality

  6. One (1) year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
