Candidate will perform static, dynamic, and fatigue structural analyses of metallic and composite airframe structure using classical ‘hand’ methods. Candidate will use automated methods and procedures approved for the program. they will ensure that designs, retrofits, and manufacturing review board actions meet program requirements for strength and durability, and are the lightest, lowest cost, and highest quality products consistent with schedule and budget objectives. The analyst should work well in a team environment and create high quality stress reports and presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must haveknowledge of Aircraft Structure and Subsystems.

  • MRB experience required- retrofit design challenges, common manufacturing discrepancy repair procedures and corrective actions.

  • BS degree in Engineering (AE, ME or CE).

  • 5 years of experience in structural analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Aerospace Structures

  • Candidates with military aircraft structural analysis knowledge or experience preferred.

  • Candidates must have an understanding of detailed structural analysis procedures and layout sizing, FEM model development, and be able use NASTRAN (with pre and post processing using FEMAP).

  • The candidate must be capable of interrogating and pulling local loads from a global internal loads FEM and utilize the loads to evaluate localareas of interest and concern.

  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate and articulate a sound stress analysis approach utilizing free body diagrams.
