U.S. Bank Business Continuity Coordinator / Disaster Recovery Analyst in Fargo, North Dakota

U.S. Bank’s Payment Services division has three revenue-reporting business lines: Retail Payment Solutions (RPS), Elavon Global Acquiring Services (Elavon), and Corporate Payment Systems (CPS).

Their respective products and services are delivered through numerous channels to consumers, small businesses, commercial/corporate clients and public sector entities in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Mexico.

Position Summary:

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced business continuity professional to contribute to the success of Payment Services, as part of the Control Routines Continuity Team.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Senior Business Line Risk Manager, Business Line Risk Managers, and Analysts within the line of business on maintenance of a sound continuity-focused, operational risk management framework. Assists with project management, monitoring, reporting, and coordination of procedures used to evaluate and control continuity risk.

• Help ensure appropriate identification and response to continuity-related risks within the business, and coordinate efforts to foster awareness and understanding of key risk management concepts.

• Helps analyze risk-related matters, and serve as a functional liaison between the line of business and corporate-level risk management resources.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, relevant work experience

  • Three to Five more years of risk management experience and/or business continuity/disaster preparedness

  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable laws (domestic and international), regulations (e.g. FFIEC Guidelines including Appendix J), financial services, and regulatory trends

  • Ability to interact effectively with staff at multiple levels in the organization (entry level positions through the Vice Chair)

  • Ability to develop, analyze, and communicate risk reporting

  • Ability to identify and resolve / escalate complex problems with minimal guidance

  • Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Background in process/procedural documentation

  • Strong PC skills, particularly word processing, spreadsheet and data base software (Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar certification

  • Advanced knowledge of applicable laws (domestic and international), regulations (e.g. FFIEC Guidelines including Appendix J), financial services, and regulatory trends

  • Archer, eBRP, and Databridge experience
