Sanford Health Internship Program aims to provide our interns with challenging, real-world projects specific to their career path. A Supply Chain Value Analysis Intern will contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first-hand experience that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The fall internship session is intended to provide juniors and seniors in college an opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience while attending to their coursework. Individuals applying for a fall internship must be from within a 100-mile radius of the internship location. Individuals accepted into a fall internship must commit to working 20-32 hours per week on-site until the maximum of 384 hours is met or another end date is agreed upon. Fall internship session start date is October 9, 2017.
Internship will include completion of an assigned major project that advances Value Analysis priorities; performance of numerous smaller projects and assignments; completion of administrative tasks; and 10-15% allocated time for intern to conduct exploration of healthcare career fields through internal informational interviews and shadowing opportunities. The goals for this internship is for Sanford Supply Chain to receive valuable support of key priorities; advance understanding of opportunities in Supply Chain Management profession; and provide opportunities for interns to demonstrate and grow their skills and abilities. Completion of an assigned Supply Chain Enterprise Wide specific project that will be worked on for the entirety of the internship, includes project development, coordination, and weekly status updates to mentor. Project will be research and computer based assessment of formularies and data entry into SharePoint and Supply Chain Information System. Project includes formal presentation upon completion.
In progress of undergraduate degree. Preference for Supply Chain Management, Business, or similar major but not required. Must have good human relations and communications skills; must be able to follow procedures and instructions given by the leadership staff. Must have strong problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
