This position conducts audits at both RDO Equipment Co. and R.D. Offutt Co. to verify accuracy and compliance with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.
Specific Duties Include:
Rely on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform job duties including planning audits, conducting testing, neatly and accurately documenting results, drawing accurate conclusions, communicating results verbally and in reports.
Identify improper accounting or documentation, researches issues, and makes recommendations for improvement.
Work with the external auditors to support the external auditing function.
Exemplify team work and camaraderie; supports growth and development of internal audit team.
Learn to build strong and professional working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
Protect and does not share sensitive information.
Handle all aspects of work with integrity and supports an ethical work environment.
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business degree.
0 to 1 year of experience in the audit field or in a related area.
Strong organizational, analytical, documentation, and problem solving skills required.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills required.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the industry.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
Motivated self-starter with ability to carry out assigned projects to completion with minimal supervision.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
