U.S. Bank Risk Compliance Audit (RCA) Consultant 5-Model and Tool Governance Oversight in FARGO, North Dakota

Responsible for:

  • Managing, monitoring and coordinating enterprise operational risk processes for the Retail Payment Solutions (RPS) line of business.

  • Acting as a key advisor to RPS for Model Risk and Tool Risk Governance program and monitors the programs for policy and program adherence.

  • Serving as the central point of contact for RPS related to Model Risk Governance (MRG) and Tool Risk Governance (TRG).

  • Working with model owners and MRG to maintain accurate documentation within the Archer tool.

  • Monitoring model inventory and works with model owners to complete necessary reviews and/or validations in a timely manner.

  • Tracking the status and progress of all required actions to comply with MRG program.

  • Partnerning with business lines to assess inventory of potential tools for policy applicability.

  • Providing credible challenge to business partners regarding applicability of Model or Tool policy.

  • Developing and maintaining procedure and process level document to support oversight role.

  • Monitoring the status of various additional enterprise programs to ensure timely and complete reviews and certifications are completed within RPS according to policy and procedure requirements for Wire PIN Certification.

  • Providing timely and appropriate updates to RPS risk and control team leadership regarding assigned operational risk functions.

  • Building and maintaining working relationships with business line partners, Payments Chief Risk Office (CRO) team members and applicable second line of defense partners.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to seven years of experience in an applicable risk management

environment

  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages

including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Must be a strong team player.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, process facilitation,

project management and analytical skills

  • Working knowledge of government and regulatory laws and regulations

  • Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • The ability to manage time effectively and work well independently under

minimal supervision

  • The ability to analyze and discuss complex topics

  • Advanced understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services,

systems, and associated risks/controls
