The iconic Radisson Hotel Fargo is located in the heart of downtown. Our full service hotel is looking for Restaurant Servers to join our busy and professional team. Ideally, you'll have prior work experience in a hotel environment, be able to demonstrate initiative and be someone who has the reputation for delivering great service and being fun to work with. Servers work in our restaurant delivering a memorable and quality dining experience for our guests. We strive to be the local favorite and take pride in growing a reputation for culinary excellence. We rely on servers to deliver exceptional experiences to our dining guests. Servers attend to the dining experience at the table and in the kitchen. Servers also organize and deliver the in-room dining experience for our overnight hotel guests. Additionally, Servers contribute to the overall safety and security of the hotel by reporting damage, following safety rules, and assisting in emergency situations.Essential Functions Introduce guests to the restaurant and menuManage the dining experience from drink orders to final check- Delivering items as needed in a timely manor- Monitor and observe guest dining experience- Remove courses and replenish cutlery as needed- Suggest appropriate drinks, courses, and desserts- Follow-up regularly as appropriate throughout the mealExpert on the menu and origin of our productDeliver all service according to brand programs and hotel standardsAbide by all state and local health codeMaintain cleanliness of work area and equipment, replenishing supplies as neededGeneral Qualifications and RequirementsMust have a professional, warm, and approachable dispositionGeneral understanding of the operation of a restaurant-Fluently read, write, and speak EnglishHold and maintain any required food handling permit or licenseHold and maintain any required alcohol awareness training/serving certification permit or licenseDemonstrated ability to remain level-headed in hectic and tense situationsMust have mental alertnetss, the ability to detect food irregularities and identify safety concernsWork Environment and OtherThis job operates in a hotel restaurant and a commercial kitchenRegular exposure to heat and humidity in the kitchenVarious odors related to food product, cooking, and cleaning chemicals may be presentThis role routinely uses a computerized Point of Sale system and telephoneRequired to frequently move around the restaurant and kitchen positioning self to deliver food and drink orders, stock supplies in lower and upper cabinets/shelves, and clear dishes and debrisWill transport up to 300 lbs, position up to 50 lbs. and move up to 30 lbs.Occasionally required to move throughout hotel to deliver and retrieve In-Room Dining orders and traysIn return for your hard work we'll give you a competitive wage and benefits package, which may include healthcare support, dental, vision, and life insurance support, and a matching 401k plan.
