SUMMARY: Farmer needs 2 Farmworkers to assist with farm machinery and raise and harvest crops in the geographical area of Ward County, ND. ALL QUALIFIED DOMESTIC WORKERS (U.S. Citizens, Legal Permanent Residents, and other residents with work authorization) must be given preference by the employer for these vacancies. Domestic workers applying for this job on or before 7/25/2013 are to be given preference for these vacancies. If qualified domestic workers are not found, the employer may seek to import FOREIGN workers from abroad. DETAILED JOB DUTIES: Workers will perform one or more of the following duties as instructed by their supervisor: Assisting with farm equipment for tilling, cultivating, fertilizing, planting and harvesting of grain and canola March through October; operation of rock picker, cleaning of grain bins and transporting canola and grain in November, driving pickup to obtain parts and supplies; maintenance and repairs to equipment, buildings, and fences. 3 months experience in job offered with references. Must be able to obtain driver's license in 30 days. PAY: Employees are guaranteed to earn at least $15.25 per hour. DAYS/HOURS: Contract period is 3/4/2013 to 12/15/2013. Hours: Nine hours per day Monday thru Friday and 3 hours on Saturday for a total of 48 hours per week. Employer guarantees to offer employment for a minimum of of the workdays of the total specified period, beginning with the first workday after workers arrival at the place of employment and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract unless there is an "Act of God" termination. Employee is not required to work more than 9 hours per day except when otherwise stated in the job order or on the Sabbath or Federal holidays to meet the guarantee period. Employer will provide free housing to those workers living beyond the commuting distance. Employer will provide necessary tools/equipment at no cost.
