Accounting / HR Assistant: Tires Plus Total Car Care/Valvoline Instant Oil ChangeThis is a full-time position with a focus on the following areas:Accounting / Bookkeeping ResponsibilitiesReconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and subsequently recording entries.Assist in paying vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; and insuring credit is received for outstanding memos.Assist in maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.Maintain organized historical records through filing documents.Human Resource ResponsibilitiesAssist in the hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, and performing reference checks.Welcome new employees to the organization by conducting orientations.Ensure new hire paperwork is completed and processed.Maintain employee training records.Maintain employee information by entering and updating employment and status-changes.Assist management in the process of planning and executing company events, which includes both community outreach and internal events.Although these tasks will be this individual's primary responsibilities, they will be expected to help accomplish other accounting and organizational goals by completing related duties as needed.
