Title Compressor and Generator Mechanic

Description Based in North Dakota, this person will be responsible for repair and maintenance activities for a wide variety of rotating/reciprocal mechanical equipment for the WPX Williston Basin Team. Activities will include hands on repair and maintenance in the field, coordinating contractors and insuring service quality of contractors used for repair and maintenance on equipment. Working closely with the Production and Operations teams to improve efficiency of operations and reduce overall cost of operating and maintaining mechanical equipment, while minimizing down time. Assist in devising and implementing a formal R&M plan for Williston Basin equipment.
Requirements Required Qualifications:
A proactive attitude and adherence to EH&S standards and practices.
Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplined oil and gas operations team.
Current in all relevant and required OSHA safety training for oil and gas operations.
Knowledge and experience in equipment applications; operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repair for:
Natural gas compression engines and compressor frames, large and small horsepower, single up to four stages.
Reciprocal positive displacement, centrifugal, progressive cavity pumps including drive systems, alignment, and filtration devices.
Beam pumping units, LACT units, and tank recirculation systems.
A minimum of three years relevant experience working as a mechanic in upstream oil and gas environments.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of digital and mechanical liquid and gas metering equipment.
Familiarity with oil and gas equipment control systems including PLC and various end devices.
Experience with operation, repair and maintenance of separators, heater treaters, dump valves, and back pressure regulators.
Familiarity with operating using a formal R&M plan.
