McKenzie County Deputy Auditor/Auditor Department Administrative Manager in Watford City, North Dakota

McKenzie County currently has an outstanding opportunity for a full timeposition as the Deputy Auditor/Auditor Department Administrative Manager

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in an accounting function; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
  • Advanced accounting principles
  • Account preparation, review, and control methods
  • Real estate and legal descriptions
  • Modern office practices, procedures, equipment, record keeping, filing systems, and computer software and systems

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Monitor and oversee the coordination, administration, operation, and management of accounts payable, invoice preparation, bill payment, accounting records, and performance in accordance with authorized procedures
  • Manage Property & Liability Insurance polices
  • Attend Board of County Commissioner meetings, assist with meeting minutes, and maintain the official records
  • Administer County, City, and School elections
  • Public bid notices, legal notices, election notices, and approved Board of County Commissioner meeting minutes
