Connections Full time Residential Supervisor in West Fargo, North Dakota

JOB SUMMARY: (Residential Program Supervisor)Due to expanding our services and in conjunction with Connections mission to support people with disabilities throughout the community, this position provides first line supervisor support. Residential Services represents different programming areas that involve supporting people with disabilities in their home environment and in the community. Reporting to the Director of Residential Services, direct responsibilities include supervising staff and coordinating activities of the people with disabilities they work with and strive to help them improve their living skills for a better quality of life. The position will provide coordination of the staff schedule and requires some oncall responsibilities.SCHEDULE:Hours for the position vary according to the Adult Foster Care site requirement. This position requires some on call shifts to accomodate to any unforseen circumstances. In the case of an emergency, travel may be required on a limited basis. Approximately fifteen hours of direct care per week are required.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Responsible for the supervision of the site and the site activitiesImplement all program and/or site policies and proceduresDevelop all schedules relation to site management i.e. menu, cleaning, etc.Develop and maintain a staff schedule for foster care sitesCarry the on-call cell phone- (1 out of 6 weeks)Conduct monthly site meetings for direct care staff along with supervisorPerform all peer training for new employeesAssist clients as needed in the development of independent living skillsHousehold management (cleaning, laundry, and cooking, etc)Personal financesPersonal careImplement individual program planning to assist participants in reaching their goalsLearn about the life experiences (work, residential, social, etc) of the person and assist him/her to expand their life experiences through education and community outings.Identify the personand#39;s strengths and/or weaknesses to assist them in achieving his/her priorities and support the person to use their strengths to achieve their goals and dreams.Provide training, support and documentation for all outcomes listed in the Individual Service Plan according to established criteria and methods.Complete all documentation for all assigned participants, as required for licensing and quality assurance.Supervision of employees as outlined in the Organizational ChartMonitor employees performance and complete performance reviews as scheduledMaintain one to one supervision meetings with employees to assure individual and agency standards are being met.Hold regular department team meetings.Assist employees in developing department goals and objectives where necessary on an annual basis.Provide input in the hiring process for the Residential Services DepartmentAccurately review staff time sheets, mileage logs, billing sheets and PTO each pay period.Coordinate activities relation to community integrationPlan site activities, events, and community activitiesAssist participant in accessing community based services and resourcesattend participant appointments if needed
