Radiology - Nuclear Medicine
Provides technical expertise in Nuclear Medicine procedures in accordance with the mission and philosophy of St. Alexius Medical Center. Education: Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine, board certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology preferred. Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology preferred. Registry: Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and / or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. Experience: Prefer two years experience as a nuclear medicine technologist, to include handling radioactive materials. Skills: Competent in performing nuclear medicine and CT radiographic procedures. Data entry and analysis. Computer skills. Interpersonal Skills: Relates effectively with staff, patients, physicians and visitors. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Maintains confidentiality. Physical Effort: Medium physical level, able to lift 50 lbs infrequently and 25 lbs or less frequently. Must be able to position patient and radiographic equipment form a standing position, with occasional lifting of patients. Hours of Work: Variable work hours-day shift. Flexibility for coverage during evening, night shift or holidays. Other: Works under the following conditions: potential exposure to mechanical, chemical, electrical and radiological environmental hazards associated with the Medical Center and operations. Direct contact with infectious patients.
