Education: Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology or School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Registry: Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Must achieve registry within one year of hire date. Experience: Preference for one year clinical experience in obstetric, gynecologic, abdomen, neonatal neurologic and small parts sonography. Skills: 1. Computer skills.2. Clerical skills. 3. Skills obtained in approved School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Maintains confidentiality. Physical Effort: Medium work level. Involves a maximum physical effort requirement of 50 pounds, ability to wear lead shield aprons for extended period of time; transport carts; stand for extended period of time, walk from place to place and push patient related equipment. Must be able to position patient from a standing position. Frequent patient lifting. Hours of Work: Day shift with rotating call on evening, nights, weekends, holidays Other: Works under the following conditions: Potential exposure to mechanical, chemical, electrical and infectious material, environmental hazards. Also includes exposure to ionizing radiation.
