Summit Technical Solutions (STS) is seeking an experienced Quality/Logistics Manager to serve in a leadership role, providing quality management expertise and functional management of supply/logistics staff.

Performs as the Quality Manager; responsible for establishing work procedures and standards to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations. Ensures quality compliance is carried out in accordance with contract performance requirements and established customer standards. This position utilizes excellent customer service skills with direct customer interface and requires the ability to manage multiple projects, improvements and operational tasks simultaneously. Perform as the Logistics Manager, responsible for planning, directing, or coordinating purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, customer service, and/or planning services.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures, applies common sense understanding to carry out written, oral or diagram instructions

  • Regularly uses a computer and suite of contract tailored software programs

  • Coordinates with other contract and subcontract personnel to ensure workflow

  • Ensures compliance of relevant SOPs, and provides input on SOP updates as necessary

  • Writes and Updates SOP, Work Instructions, Reference Documents and maintains all quality documents

  • Ensures compliance with customer quality standards

  • Performs assessment and evaluation of process changes

  • May perform quality audits on clerks/tasks on daily basis

  • Validates and documents results, reports discrepancies and resolves quality issues

  • Supervises tasks and manages employees to ensure completeness and accuracy of work

  • Monitors processes continuously to determine adherence to quality requirements

  • Ensures completion of administrative reporting, daily statistics, logs, task narratives, and generates reports when needed.

  • Must have mental ability to concentrate on fine detail such as daily report conciliation

  • Must have ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

  • Abides by and ensures compliance with all company safety and security regulations

  • Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.

  • Standup and maintain DLITE.

  • Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems.

  • Create/augment policies or procedures for logistics activities.

Required Experience

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education & experience

  • 8+ years of related experience in quality & logistics management

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required

  • ISO certification is preferred

  • Experience working in federal/DoD industry is strongly preferred
