Position OverviewThis position will evaluate the safety protocols followed on various job sites, organize safety training for employees and report problems to management team. This position must understand the specific safety issues inherent to the oil and gas industry. This position requires a full understanding of the challenges of managing the complete range of Health and Safety issues in the industry. Primary Job FunctionsEffectively lead, manage and train safety division representatives.Responsible for safety department budget and forecasts in relation to the needs of the department and the business.Visit job sites to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment and materials.Creation, assessment and altering of safety procedures and policies for the benefit of employees and clientsResearch, implement, and execute new materials and process in collaboration with the management team.Analyze accident reports and evaluate injury case studies based on available factsPrepare and conduct safety training sessions for employees and vendors Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, DOT, ISNet, etc.)Research environmental regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure compliance.Lead internal and external audits in relation to business and safety practices and standards.Create and track incident metrics and apply findings.Lead injury and incident inquiries and evaluations and report out findings to management team.Effective case management of injuries, incidents, and claims in relation to industry standards.Lead and manage all safety compliance in accordance with the business, industry, vendors, and customersAct and communicate in a manner that will maintain a positive work atmosphere for customers, clients, co-workers, and management.Practice safety on a daily basis, always wear appropriate PPE and be a leader in safetyOther duties may also be assigned.
