POSITION TITLE:Agricultural Business Credit AnalystDEPARTMENT:CreditREPORTS TO:SVP Business LendingFLSA STATUS:ExemptDATE:September 26, 2017 PRIMARY FUNCTION:Responsible for completing analysis and underwriting of commercial and agricultural credit requests and to determine credit risk and compliance with laws, regulations and policies pertaining to member business lending functions. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Develop and maintain a working knowledge of credit union history, philosophy, and organization. Support and implement the philosophy and objectives of Town and Country Credit Union. Follow policies and procedures as outlined for the Department and credit union operations; provide superior service to all members and maintain strict confidence of all member and credit union information Actively supports the culture and mission of the credit union.*Develop and maintain a working knowledge of credit union member business products and services as well as partner products with the Small Business Administration (SBA), other government sponsored programs and the Bank of North Dakota (BND).*Analyze financial statements and tax return data to assess financial condition of borrowers, determine performance ratios, adequacy of assigned risk ratings, cash flows, repayment sources and terms, assist in establishing financial loan covenants, ensuring compliance with existing financial loan covenants, guarantor support analysis, and collateral valuation/analysis.*Complete supporting credit documentation for each member business loan for submission to the Credit Committee for approval.*Work with the Business sales team in developing and implementing business development activities. May accompany Business Loan Officers in conducting business sales calls and presentations.*Analyze and report on portfolio analytics in regards to stress testing, risk rating systems, and aggregate business loan exposures.*Assist in the maintenance and administration of the tickler system. Service and administer member business accounts. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all business related computer systems and software. Monitor loan portfolio to ensure that entire portfolio is in compliance with pertinent state and federal laws and regulations. Recommend changes to lending policies and procedures in an effort to maintain a higher standard of operation/performance. Cross-sell credit union products and services. Look for additional opportunities in supporting a sales and service culture. Assist with resolution of regulatory and audit findings as required. Other duties as assigned.*Denotes essential function. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:Develops and maintains operations consistent with the credit union's business model and delivers a consistent level of outstanding member service. Ensures operations conform to federal and state laws and regulation. Works effectively within overall credit union structure and in tandem with other departments.
