Job Description

Description: Monitors functioning lab tests, performs simple corrective actions and contacts the appropriate individual when required. Cleans up as time allows. Specific Position Requirements: 2nd Shift: 2PM-10PM (Mon-Fri). Weekend shifts as needed to support business needs (Fri-Sun).

ASTM approved safety shoes with internal metatarsal protection required. JOB PURPOSE: Work with test engineers to build, modify and debug test systems and related equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide basic line support to the production floor, engineers, and/or department. Order supplies needed to build and maintain test systems. Build or modify test systems as specified. Perform basic level troubleshooting by utilizing technical knowledge and interdepartmental contacts. Troubleshooting will be performed with peer support and may not always have work instructions to assist in the work. Implement modifications to department documentation with direction. Assist in producing analysis and reports. Inform supervisor of process or design problems and assist in the corrective action. Communicate with others in a professional and effective manner.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments and vendors. Working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and word processing. Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components. Knowledge of test equipment, e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc. Understanding of trouble shooting methodologies to identify root cause. Ability to read basic engineering documents. Maintain necessary product records and documentation. Ability to comprehend product/process component datasheets. Ability to assemble and disassemble products. Looking for candidates that can troubleshoot boards down to the component level. Possibility of assignment extension.
