Behavioral Health Technician / BHTLocation: Grand Forks, NDShift: Days and Nights availableRed River Behavioral Health is growing and we are looking to staff up! We are in need of those interested in working with psychiatric patients for Behavioral Health Technician roles. These are full time opportunities and include full benefits.In this Role You Will:Responsible for, along with licensed nursing staff, contributing to the ongoing process of patient care under the direction of licensed nursing staff;Monitor patients and facilitate daily patient care and activities as assigned;Provide therapeutic intervention to patients in regard to psychosocial, environmental, and physical well-being within scope of position;Identify significant changes in patientand#39;s condition and take appropriate actions, including identify problems, offering appropriate solutions, and alerting licensed nurse;Obtain and document all required and pertinent information accurately and within RRBHS time frames, including but not limited to, progress notes, communication log, 15-min checks and 1:1 monitoring checks, group notes, incident reports, dietary sheets, I and O, BM record, etc.;Respond to emergency situations, assisting licensed nurses where needed, i.e. medical emergencies, elopements, fire, and storms;Demonstrate knowledge of and follows all RRBHSand#39;s infection control and safety policies;Communicate effectively with nursing staff and clinicians in order to maintain patient care and safety ;Perform personal care and comfort using the correct devices under the guidance of the nurse;Participates in rotation of evenings, weekends, and holidays;Participate in rotation of all units;Perform all other related duties as requested.About You:Degree from an accredited college in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Nursing or a related field is preferred.Coursework and/or applicable psychiatry/nursing experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Nursing or a related field.Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in North Dakota is preferred.Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses and symptomology is desired.We owe our success to the passion, commitment and expertise of our staff.
